Celebrating 25 Years of EXIST – aisencia® secures 2nd place at the Start-up Award

The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of the “EXIST – Existenzgründungen aus der Wissenschaft” program, a pivotal initiative by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action in Germany. Since its inception in 1998, EXIST has played a critical role in transforming groundbreaking research from universities and non-university research institutions into thriving startups.

Our startup, aisencia®, has been one of the startups funded by EXIST, and our gratitude is immense. This support made it possible for us to spin off from the university and develop our products to make them ready for the market.

EXIST Start-up Award

As part of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the EXIST program, a special pitch competition was organized to highlight and reward outstanding startups. Out of 29 impressive nominations, 10 startups, including aisencia®, were selected. We are really proud to announce that aisencia® secured 2nd place in the pre-seed category!

Our contribution to the fight against cancer is gaining growing recognition, reinforcing our commitment to leveraging AI-based digital solutions to boost the pathology field.

Winning this award also grants us the exciting opportunity to participate in the largest pan-European competition for university startups, Stage Two. We are already looking forward to it!
